Today is October 14. This is my view from the cockpit when I got up this morning around 7h00. The temperature is a bit chilly that early in the morning but warms up quite nicely. It'll be around 70 degrees today. Beat snow!

Today is October 14, 2006. We are now anchored in Deltaville, Virginia which took us approximately 7 hours to get here from Annapolis. We left Annapolis October 11. We had to take the boat out of the water to fix our head in the forward cabin. For those unfamiliar with the marine term, head means "toilet". We stayed on the sling overnight. All went well, everything is fixed so I now have my own bathroom once more. We met this nice couple in Annapolis that are from Deltaville so we have access to a car which is quite convenient. We will probably stay here until next Tuesday or Wednesday. We are not in a rush since we are not very far from Norfolk, our next stop before entering the Intercostal Water Ways.

Another view of the Annapolis Boat Show. This is one of the largest boat show in the United States with many different suppliers. There were approximately over 300 boats who came to view the boat show. Paul was like a child at Christmas buying all kinds of toys for the boat.

This is the Washington Monument.

Here's another picture of the White House.

On September 16, we arrived at Annapolis. We anchored in Spa Creek. We met quite a few other Canadians sailing down south like us. This is a city full of historical homes and buildings. We walked everywhere until we figured the bus routes. Anapolis has a great city bus transit. We even found out that some buses are free. We enjoyed many warm days during our 20-day stay. We stayed here for the Annapolis Boat Show which was held the first weekend of October. We also spent a day visit Washington which is approx. a half hour from Annapolis.

From September 12 to 15, we anchored in the Inner Harbour of Baltimore. We really enjoyed our stay there. Being downtown offered us a lot of amenities such as Barnes & Noble store where we had access to Wi-Fi Wireless Internet, Starbuck Coffee Shop, restaurants and shopping. It has a very interesting waterfront with lots of restaurants, museums and city and boat tours for the tourists. The weather again was just sunny and warm.

On September 10, 2006 we anchored in downtown Canton a suburb of Baltimore. There we found everything we needed (walking distance) such as a Safeway, West Marine, liquor store. Stayed there 2 nights.f
